This custom walnut bar was designed to create a dedicated space for gathering, entertaining, and enjoying time with family and friends. Built around rich walnut cabinetry, natural stone, and integrated lighting, the project balances everyday functionality with a strong visual presence.
Open shelving provides space to display glassware and favorite bottles, while the base cabinetry offers plenty of hidden storage below. Framed by a custom arched opening, the finished bar feels like a natural extension of the home and a place people are drawn to spend time in.
Materials
The material palette for this bar was intentionally simple: walnut, stone, and warm lighting. Rich walnut cabinetry and shelving were used throughout, including the cabinet interiors and custom walnut drawer boxes, creating a consistent look from every angle. A large custom walnut panel was selected for the back of the bar to achieve a seamless vertical grain pattern across the full width of the installation, allowing the wood itself to become a focal point.
Integrated LED lighting tucked beneath each shelf highlights both the walnut grain and the client's collection, while soft-close hinges and drawer slides bring a refined feel to everyday use. Paired with dramatic stone surfaces and clean architectural lines, the result is a bar that feels equally suited for entertaining guests or enjoying a quiet evening at home.
