Prairie Store
This project marked the opening of Prairie Interiors' first retail storefront. Working closely with the Prairie team, we built a collection of custom pieces throughout the space, including display shelving, a mobile cash wrap, storage cabinetry, a large island, and a full kitchen vignette.
The goal was to create fixtures that felt right at home within Prairie's aesthetic while providing the flexibility needed for a working retail environment. The result is a space that feels warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully put together from every angle.

Materials
Because each fixture served a different purpose within the store, we intentionally mixed materials and finishes throughout the project. Warm red oak was used for many of the primary pieces, bringing natural grain and character to the space, while painted elements added contrast and helped create focal points throughout the showroom.
The mobile cashwrap was built from red oak and finished in a bold red paint, creating a functional centerpiece that can be repositioned as the store evolves. The elevated back cashwrap combined durable maple interiors with red oak exteriors and custom drawer construction, designed to support the day-to-day needs of the retail team while maintaining a furniture-like appearance.
For the kitchen display, we used ash cabinetry with a distinctive horizontal grain pattern paired with clean maple interiors. The large display island features a thick butcher block top, open shelving for merchandising, concealed storage, and a custom red oak towel rail that adds both function and character. Throughout the store, oversized shelving units were built to showcase products while keeping the overall space feeling open, bright, and approachable.
